Literature Text

The sun was waning as I rested beside the willow,
Glimmering lights played among its veil of leaves.
My head leant back with its stem as my pillow,
My eyes gazed softly as Mother Nature grieved.

Her bed of tears danced before me
Riding upon the evening wind,
Rustling as they passed one another
Toward my lifeless body their melody did bring.

I felt the wind's caress wrapped around me.
I heard it whispering softly in my ears.
Whispers so peaceful and gentle,
I fell into a slumber that drowned all my fears.
